I have accepted a position at Bmore Media as their new Innovation and Jobs Editor. My contract's all signed and I'm ready to rock! I'll be doing 3 - 4 stories a week on jobs, business and business development in Baltimore. I'm really excited to be getting into this field, and I have a great team to work with. You'll be able to check my work out starting in two weeks at www.bmoremedia.com
Also, my newest piece for The New Colonist is up, just in time for spring! http://www.newcolonist.com/springcleaning.html

Check out my new project!
I did the video script for this (click the video link on the intro page). I also recently redid all the text under investors, about us, entrepreneurs, lenders and service providers. It's been super fun working with this client!

I almost missed this one!
This one almost crept under my radar. Good thing I keep up with my Google alerts! Out of the two recent Washington Post pieces I did, this is my favorite.
For anyone that missed it...
Here's my 1/9/11 article in The Washington Post . I really enjoyed writing it. Thanks to everyone who helped with opinions, research ideas and quotes!

Extra Hustle
So to update everyone on my progress:
I'm editing and rewriting my first chapter, and I'll likely write the second one this weekend. I entered a short story into consideration at a couple of literary journals, we'll see how that pans out.
I'm doing some work for The New Colonist and Urban Art and Antiques. It pays peanuts, but it's published so that's a resume builder. Plus, I really like the concept of The New Colonist, and my editor.
I'm wending my way through the wilderness of clients who contact you to do stuff then just peter out. Nothing like someone who is hot to trot on a project until it comes time to pay you. Of course, I don't do anything until I see that PayPal pending, but it still occupies time I could spend looking for new business. Most irksome.
The extra hustle? I'm trying to bring in some new business, while still being engaged with the comic shops and getting that done, while trying to write this novel, while trying to stay in the loop on all the stuff I need to know. Oh, and my house looks like a war zone.
